“Sell me the pen.”
Jackie had warned Sidney this might happen.
But he was ready.
“This isn’t a pen. This is a multifunctional device.”
Belinda stroked her chin, ruffling the coarse hair on her mole as she did. It was no beard, but it served the same purpose.
“This pen can conduct the world’s greatest orchestra.”
“This pen can save lives. You can use it to perform a tracheotomy.”
“This pen can take a life.”
Belinda stopped nodding.
“Congratulations Sidney. You’re our new Team Leader.”
Sidney smiled, nodded and slid the black biro back to Belinda.
